Create an all ages buzz around Belgium’s most iconic export product; The Smurf Experience.

Cecoforma was tasked by the IMPS to develop a comprehensive communications campaign for The Smurf Experience exhibition; making it the talk of the town.

Our team took the age-old iconic Smurf and gave it a fresh look, version 4.0 was born. Its popularity can be quantified by the number of visitors. Between June 2017 – January 2019 nearly a quarter million people visited The Smurf Experience Exhibition in Brussels.

Through a solid strategy, The Smurf Experience became so widely recognized that it was awarded the Visit.Brussels award for the most noted exhibition of 2018! Following the wild success in Brussels, the exhibition was transported to Paris. This was also managed by Cecoforma. Later in 2019 The Smurf Experience will continue to travel the world and can be in seen in Seoul, South Korea.

Cecoforoma communications specialists deployed their expertise in a 360° communication campaign strategy including: the drafting of a communication strategy; defining the message, look and tone of voice of the event/expo; budget management; operational management: paid media: social media, print, OOH, TV and radio campaigns; community management and PR to generate the success of the campaign.

Cecoforma has more than 30 years of experience in organising large international events and communication campaigns. Members of the team have extensive experience in strategic communication in the leisure and culture industry, as well as expertise in organising small, medium or large events which helped to promote the Smurf Experience towards specific target groups.

Our team thrived during this challenge of taking a very well-known character (The Smurf) and communicating about the event (The Smurf Experience) all the while following compulsory guidelines shared by the client.
