The Commission's Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations is responsible for EU policy on enlargement and the EU's eastern and southern neighbours. The overall objective of the Summit was to celebrate and promote past and ongoing EU - EaP cooperation investing in the future of young people.
Cecoforma was bestowed with the overall organisation, coordination and preparation of this novel digital event. Originally set to be an in-person event, due to unprecedented COVID-19 measures, cecoforma and DG NEAR worked closely to ensure youth leaders, youth workers and policy makers could engage during this important dialogue. Approximately 500 participants exchanged on the overall approach and designed tangible steps for the future under the Eastern Partnership.
The online event was carried out in a very similar format to a live event, with plenary sessions, four parallel breakout workshops (webinars) and nine parallel interactive group sessions. In addition to this, a one-hour live concert was streamed on Facebook.
Cecoforma’s new digital platform, beyond was an indispensable tool contributing to the reliable technology and ease of interaction during the event.
